**Quick and easy, but very satisfying.** Mosaic knitting gives great colour effects without all the hassle of stranding. Knitting on the bias isn't more difficult, but adds extra interest. You can make it with self-striping or highly variegated yarn (two quite different effects). The original was inspired by Lang Mille Colori Baby - it seemed perfect for this stitch (one I'd been planning to use for a while). The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, but tips are provided for how to adjust for other weights. Allow at least 100m/110yds of each yarn for a single loop.
