Daddy's Simply Easy Mittens

This is my go-to beginner crochet mittens pattern and my husband still loves and wears the pair I crocheted for him. These crocheted mitts are great to give as gifts and perfect for donating to local charities and homeless shelters. Originally released in 2013 using a yarn that has since been discontinued. I have updated my pattern to a new yarn and filmed a video tutorial to help you make the mittens. Yarn Option One: King Cole Subtle Drifter Chunky. I used Finished Project: Mittens: 4.2 oz (120 g) and 197 yds (180 m) for one pair of mittens. You can see them in the Midnight Color Shade. You need 2 balls and a 5 mm (H) hook. You can use ANY of the King Cole Drifter Chunky Yarns or Subtle Drifter Chunky yarns. Yarn Option Two: King Cole Big Value Tonal Chunky (the YouTube Video Tutorial was filmed using Hazy - Shade 2540). Finished Project: Mittens: 3.87 oz (110 g) and 184 yds (167 m). You need 2 balls and a 5 mm (H) hook.
