ok, I didn't calculate a gauge for this pattern. I compared the dimensions to that of a paper coffee sleeve and I crochet a bit on the tight side. If you're a loose crocheter, try a smaller hook or decrease the chain until the count for the top row is long enough to go around the cup at the highest spot that you want. This sleeve will fit on the Vessel ceramic tumblers and most 16 and 20 oz paper cups that I've encountered. If you need this for a 8 or 12 oz tumbler, you may need to omit the last two rows. Yardage: I've been making these sleeves out of leftover bits of yarn from other projects, so I've never been sure of how many sleeves I can make from one skein. By my kitchen scale, each wide sleeve is about 16 grams. I can make 3 wide sleeves from a 2 oz skein of sugar and creme (4 from a 2.5 oz solid-color skein).
