Diagonal Stripey Baby Blanket

Whenever friends have babies, I want to do something for them. This typically means a blanket. My go-to “pattern” is a simple two-color one that starts with one stitch and expands diagonally. You could make this blanket arbitrarily large or small. For that matter, you could use more than just two colors! I love Knit Picks Shine Worsted for my baby blankets, because it is wonderfully soft, shiny – and machine-washable! Obviously, you can pick whatever yarn you like in whatever weight. The choices are endless! The samples are knit using 3 balls of each color.
