Arabella

I designed this piece as an accessory, inspired by the lace collars from the Victorian era. I wanted it to be versatile enough to use with various outfits and sit perfectly on a plain round neck garment. I used a delicious yarn, Sublime Lustrous Extra Fine Merino DK, with a metallic sheen to stand out against a matt finish. Worked from the centre out, using a variety of simple crochet stitches and finishing with a basic picot. The pattern is accessible to all crochet abilities and with the current make do and mend/customization trend is an ideal and inexpensive way to update an outfit.
