Gauge is largely irrelevant, though needles of a size appropriate for your choice of yarn are needed. Materials in the finished snake are only yarn and fiberfill stuffing so this snake is suitable for play by young children. The PDF was **updated December 6, 2010** to account for a typo in the pattern!
