Neville's Socks

Inspiration: Neville Longbottom is one of the most lovable characters found within J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter Series, in my opinion anyway. What kind of stitch pattern does one choose when creating a sock for Mr. Longbottom? One of the things I like most about Neville is when he sort of found himself through dance around the time of the Yule Ball. I wanted something that was interesting enough to represent Neville yet be elegant enough that he could wear these out and about to some of the more formal functions held at Hogwarts.
