One Skein Mini Shawl

Perfect for those chilly autumn mornings, the One Skein Mini Shawl drapes luxuriously around the neck; soft, light and cosy. Since this scarf uses just one ball of yarn, it's perfect for that skein of hand-dyed indie yarn in your stash that you've been saving for a special project! Satisfyingly simple, it is made entirely of chain stitches and variations of single crochet in a soothing, repetitive stitch pattern. Worked in rows, first with simple increases and then decreases to create a pleasing triangle shape, this little scarf is then finished with a beautiful rope-like edging. A beginner friendly pattern, you will need to be familiar with single crochet and chain stitches. Written in English using US terminology, the pattern features comprehensive photo tutorials for the other stitches used which may be less familiar, as well as links to video demonstrations of these stitches too, so you'll be a pro in no time. This pattern is suitable for all experience levels from confident beginners upwards. You will need: -approximately 166m/181 yds of aran/worsted weight yarn. I used a total of 100g Arcane Fibre Works Worsted (100% Extrafine Merino Superwash, 166m/181yds per 100g) -a 6mm hook -stitch markers (optional) The completed mini shawl measures approximately 130cm (51") long and 17cm (6.5") wide; size can be easily adjusted if desired.​
