Start by crocheting granny squares, then crochet them together, then knit ribs around the neck and face opening. Finally, work the straps in double knitting. SIZES One Size. Head circumference: 55 - 59 cm YARN AND MATERIALS 80 g of Merino Essentiel 4 from DMC (50 g = 125 m) 48 g of NAVY n°852 32 g of LAVENDER BLUE n° 884 Circular needles 4 mm [ 80 cm ] Crochet hook 4 mm Double pointed needles 4 mm [ optional, double-pointed needles are used for knitting straps; if you don't have any, you can use 4 mm circular needles. ] Tapestry needle GAUGE Gauge: 22 sts x 28 rows =10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, on needle size 4 mm. Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above. Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
