Rocky the Eridian

Inspired by Andy Weir's *Project Hail Mary*, this pattern provides instructions on how to crochet your own Rocky the Eridian. The finished piece measures about 8" across using the recommended tools. Plus, you can put in a squeaker insert, making him great as a gift for people who like tactile or auditory stimulus. The piece is worked in two colours; you will need no more than 100 yards worsted weight in each. This pattern uses a 3.75mm hook in order to fit a 35mm squeaker insert and stuffing. Other materials needed are a yarn needle, scissors, and a stitch marker. Small amounts of black yarn or thread can be used for small details.
