Tromsø Hat

This year I had the good fortune of visiting Tromsø, in Norway. I knew it would be cold, very cold. And that I'd need a hat. A warm one. Simple things don't require complicated introductions or explanations. Here's a simple pattern for the warmest hat. Enjoy! **SIZES** 1 (2, 3). Shown in size 3. **FINISHED MEASUREMENTS** Circumference (un-stretched): 18 (20, 22)" [45 (50, 55 cm)]. **MATERIALS** Yarn: 2 balls of of Snefnug by CaMaRose (55% Alpaca / 35% cotton / 10% Merino; 120yd [110m]; 50g), or 200 (220, 240) yd [182 (201, 220) m] of bulky weight yarn. Shown in color 7331, Vissengrøn. Needles: US 8 [5 mm] circular needles. Other notions: Stitch markers, darning needle. Extra needle in a similar size for 3-needle bind off. **GAUGE** 17.5 sts and 19 rounds to 4” (10cm) in k1, p1 ribbing, un-stretched on US 8 [5 mm] needles after blocking.
