Using a block construction, this design is intended to focus on color and pattern to lead to a timeless piece intended to be handed down. Each block is a chance to try something new, to combine different colors, to start again. My goal in creating and sharing this design is to lead you through a custom knitting discovery, to think intuitively about your knitting, and to challenge the knitting process through technique. **Sizing:** The pattern will guide you through the process of selecting which size will work for your preferred level of ease and perfect fit. The finished garment circumferences are a 50” (70”) and 78 3/4” or or 127 cm (178 cm) 200 cm bust. This is designed to feel like a comfy quilt draped as a sweater, but ease and fit are personal and up to you. I have included schematic so you can measure your favorite oversized coat or sweater and be in charge of how much ease you would love to wear over and over again. The photographed sample is worn with 34” of ease, Test knitters chose sizes that gave 15”-30” of ease. **Yarn:** Fingering Weight Held Double 600g (750g) 900g 2,400yd (3,000yd) 3,600yd 2,200m (2,745m) 3,300m The pattern sample used 6 colors, contrasting sleeves and ribbing set to match colors in the blocks. However, amount of colors is flexible to your preference. This pattern looks great whether you choose to use 2 or 20 colors!
