Spring rabbit socks

This socks are knit from the cuff down. It begins with a tubular cast on and a ribbed cuff. The leg is knitted with a colourwork pattern. Then the heel flap and the gusset are knitted back and forth. Finally, the toe is worked in the round and finished with Kitchener stitch. If you are more comfortable knitting with only two colors, you can adapt the pattern by knitting flowers and leaves with the same color. SIZING To determine the size to knit, measure the circumference of the leg above the ankle: • Size S correspond to a leg circumference of 18 to 20 cm ; • Size M correspond to a leg circumference of 21 to 24 cm ; • Size L correspond to a leg corcumference of 25 to 28 cm ; Sample shawn in size M. Leg and foot length can be easely adjusted. GAUGE (washed and blocked) 30 sts x 40 rounds = 10 x 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette stitch. NOTIONS • Stitch markers • Tapestry needle • Scissors • Ruler YARN Kremke Soul Wool Edelweiss Alpaka (65 % wool, 25 % polyamid, 10% alpaca), 100 m/25 g COLORS MC: Natural white (001), approximatively 40 g CC1: Pink (011), approximatively 15 g CC2: Honey (031), approximatively 35 g CC3: Dusty pink (007), approximatively 15 g Any fingering-weight sock yarn can be used for this pattern as long as you get the same gauge. NEEDLES • For the 3 sizes: US 1 (2,25 mm), 32-inch (80 cm) circular for magic loop, or DPNs or a 9-inch (23 cm) circular needle. • For colorwork for size 1: US 1.5 (2,5 mm), 32-inch (80 cm) circular for magic loop, or DPNs or a 9-inch (23 cm) circular needle. Or the needle sizes needed to get the right gauge. Cette paire de chaussettes se tricote en rond de haut en bas, du mollet vers les orteils. Elle se débute avec un montage tubulaire et des côtes 2/2. La jambe se tricote en point de jacquard pour former un décor floral entourant des lapins . Un motif de rayures s’étend sur la jambe et le pied. Le talon est un talon renforcé à gousset tricoté en allers-retours. Puis le pied est de nouveau tricoté en circulaire. Enfin, la pointe est refermée par un grafting. Si vous redoutez le jacquard à 3 couleurs, le motif floral peut être simplifié pour qu’il s’adapte à l’utilisation de deux couleurs seulement. Il suffira alors de tricoter les fleurs et les feuilles avec le même coloris. TAILLES Pour déterminer la taille à tricoter, il faut mesurer le tour de jambe au-dessus de la cheville : • La taille S correspond à un tour de jambe de 18 à 20 cm ; • La taille M correspond à un tour de jambe de 21 à 24 cm ; • La taille L correspond à un tour de jambe de 25 à 28 cm ; Les chaussettes présentées en photo ont été tricotées en taille M. La longueur du pied et de la tige peut facilement être adaptée. ECHANTILLON (lavé et bloqué) 30 mailles x 40 rangs pour 10 x 10 cm de jersey en rond. AIGUILLES • Pour les 3 tailles : aiguilles circulaires n°2,25 (US 1), 80 cm de câble pour le magic loop, ou aiguilles doubles pointes n°2,25, ou aiguilles circulaires 23 cm n°2,25. • Pour la partie jacquard de la taille 1 : une paire d’aiguilles circulaires n°2,5 (US 1.5), 80 cm de câble pour le magic loop, ou aiguilles doubles pointes n°2,5, ou aiguilles circulaires 23 cm n°2,5. Ou bien les tailles d’aiguilles vous permettant d’obtenir le bon échantillon.
