For a larger blanket, work extra blocks until reaching your desired size. Note that this will require additional yardage than listed in the Materials section. **Stitch Counts:** Stitch counts are listed after each row in italics. If no stitch count is given, there has been no change since the previous row. **Turning Chain:** The turning chain does not count as a stitch anywhere in this pattern. **Reversible:** There is no right side or wrong side to this blanket. Both sides are identical. **Construction:** You will begin with a small rectangle (Block 1) that will become the center of your blanket. Next, you will crochet along the edge of your first block for seven rows. Then, you will crochet along the edge of both blocks to create a third block. You will continue rotating your work in the same direction after completing each block in order to add a new, larger block. This is called the log cabin technique, commonly seen in quilting. **Changing Colors:** When changing colors, work the last stitch of the row with the old color, but do not work the final yarn-over to close the stitch. Work this yarn-over with the new color. Then drop the old color and continue crocheting with the new color. ---------- [Shop my new book, Modern Crochet Sweaters, HERE!][8] [1]: https://view.flodesk.com/pages/6138c9e57accb4c0210200f0 [2]: https://knitsnknots.ca/wonder-block-baby-blanket [3]: https://shrsl.com/2m6bj [4]: https://shrsl.com/3m2ol [5]: https://shrsl.com/3m2ol [6]: https://yarnsub.com/yarns/lion_brand/color_theory [7]: https://shrsl.com/3m2ol [8]: https://knitsnknots.ca/modern-crochet-sweaters-pre-order/
