I chose to use relative ease for this design due to the stretchy nature of the lace fabric. To choose a size, select the finished garment measurement closest to your upper chest measurement. This is the circumference measurement of your chest right below your armpits, but above the fullest part of your chest. For smaller sizes, choosing the size closest to your full chest measurement will work fine. There is a lot of flexibility to size up or down with this design. Adjustments for bicep fit and yoke depth can be made easily by changing cast-on and armhole pickup numbers.* **Suggested Yarn** For my original sample, I wanted to use a widely affordable and accessible plant based yarn for this summer design. Circulo Yarns Anne is a beautiful and affordable 100% mercerized cotton weight yarn that is perfect for summer projects and absolutely stunning in this simple lace texture. Most sizes will require only 1-2 balls, and at around $12.00 per, it’s a great deal for those on a budget. As a bonus, it comes in a billion different colors and is widely available in Central and South America, a little treat for all of my warm weather knitters down south! ***$*** **Circulo Yarns Anne** (100% mercerized Brazilian virgin cotton, 547 yds/147 g), *I knit my long sleeved sample in the Terra Cotta colorway.* ***$$$*** **Ritual Dyes Undine** (60% Cotton/40% Linen, 383 yds/100 g) *I knit my sleeveless sample knit in Jewelweed colorway.* *I knit my samples in drapey plant fibers, but this would also look beautiful in a wool/plant fiber blend or next-to-skin soft wool. Yarns with a bit of extra drape like alpaca or alpaca blends would work particularly well.* **Suggested Needles** Main: US 3 (3.25mm) 20”-32” circular needles, plus preferred needles for small circumference knitting Ribbing: US 2 (2.75mm) 20”-32” circular needles, plus preferred needles for small circumference knitting **Gauge** 18 sts & 28 rows / 4”(10cm) in lace pattern, blocked. Instructions for how to work and measure your gauge swatch are included in the body of the pattern. **Yarn Requirements** With Sleeves (650, 725, 800)(875, 975, 1075)(1175, 1275, 1375) yds (594, 663, 731)(800, 891, 983)(1074, 1165, 1257) m Sleeveless (350, 400, 475)(550, 625, 700)(775, 850, 925) yds (320, 366, 434)(503, 571, 640)(708, 777, 845) m **Materials** Stitch markers, removable stitch markers, spare needle or stitch holders **Construction** This design is knit seamlessly from the top down flat for the front and back sections and in the round for the body.
