The double-layered hat is worked seamlessly from start to finish in a single piece. Starting from 12 stitches, the hat begins with the Increase Crown (this will be the crown of the inner layer when the hat is worn). Next, a knit-even section is worked to the required length for your chosen size. Finally, the Decrease Crown is worked to mirror the shaping of the Increase Crown. The completed hat resembles an elongated egg. Folding the hat at the halfway point, the Increase Crown is inverted into the Decrease Crown to complete your double-layered cap.
