The Alma Socks are inspired by the Tudor court of Henry VIII and Hilary Mantel's novels *Wolf Hall, Bring Up the Bodies,* and *The Mirror and the Light.* The socks are knit cuff-down in the round with a heel flap and gusset. The design features a panel of seed stitches framed by panels of 1-by-1 cables. The pattern includes charted and written instructions. **Yarn** One 100-gram skein of fingering weight yarn. *Suggested yarn: Life in the Long Grass Fine Sock.
