These luxe handwarmers feature an eye-catching cabled design throughout the center panel, surrounded by a classic stockinette palm for comfort. The cabling looks impressive but is simple to work and the stitch pattern can be easily memorized. Made from worsted-weight wool, these will keep your chilly hands warm in the colder months. This pattern is both written and charted. It is written for three adult sizes which should fit most hands, but it can be easily customized for larger or smaller hands or different yarn weights. If you increase your size or add a longer wrist section, please keep in mind you will need more yardage than specified. **SIZE** Adult S (M, L) for 6.5 (7.25, 8)” hand, measured around the palm, designed for a slightly snug fit with no ease to a hint of negative ease **YARN** Any worsted weight yarn (DK could also work well) Sample was knit in Malabrigo Rios in the colorway Lotus (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 210 yards/100g skein) Uses approx. 130 (140, 150) yards of worsted weight yarn These mitts look great worked in simple, solid colors or hand-painted, variegated hues - there is no bad yarn choice! **NEEDLES** US 5/3.75mm, or size needed to obtain gauge DPNs and small circumference circulars, or long circulars for magic loop, as preferred **GAUGE** 24 stitches & 36 rounds = 4” in stockinette, after blocking **NOTIONS** 3 stitch markers Cable needle or spare DPN Waste yarn to hold thumb stitches Darning needle to weave in ends **SKILL LEVEL** Advanced Beginner **TECHNIQUES** Knit, purl, increases, cables, working small circumference in the round **NOTES** These mitts are worked from wrist to fingertips, with increases for the thumb gusset.
