This crochet pattern is for an adorable Elmo. This loveable and well-known character from Sesame Street is a favourite among folks of all ages. These guys are really cute and well-received as gifts. They also sell well at markets and craft shows. An original pattern by Fat Lady Crochet. This easy crochet pattern is written in US terms and is designed for crocheters with a solid understanding of simple crochet, and who don't mind a little bit of sewing. Lots of photos are included to help you along the way. Materials • 109 yards/ 100 grams size 4 (worsted weight) yarn in Red • Scrap amounts size 4 yarn in Black, White, Orange • Crochet hook size H 5.00 mm • Crochet hook size G 4.00 mm • Tapestry needle • Fiber Fill • Stitch marker • 2 x 1/2-inch black buttons ONLY if piece is being made for people over 3 years of age. Notes • Elmo's Legs, Body and Head are worked in one piece, using 2 strands yarn held together • Elmo's Arms are worked using 2 strands yarn held together • Elmo's Eyes, Mouth and Nose are worked with 1 strand yarn and smaller hook • Elmo is worked in continuous rounds from the bottom up • Elmo's Arms, Eyes, Mouth and Nose are worked separately and sewn on. • The finished piece is approximately 8.5 inches tall. • 1 strand Bulky (size 5) yarn may be substituted for 2 strands yarn held together for legs/body/head, arms, without any alterations to pattern.
