For this hat pattern I suggest using softer yarn, a little bit larger hook that you usually use; to make the stitches loose and soft. For the brim I used one size smaller hook. I included step by step pictures for the special stitch. The finished hat fits an average adult head, but there is also instruction for child size hat.
