The Cotswold Bonnet

Pattern Description The Cotswold Bonnet is really easy and super quick to make. It’s cozy and thick because it uses Aran (number 4) yarn. The bonnet is made from a flat rectangle and then the back is sewn together. Next, a sc ribbing is added around the bottom and front of the bonnet. Lastly, two straps are stitched to either side. This bonnet will only take you a few hours to make. Check out the matching Cotswold Sweater! Materials: *5.0mm (U.S H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. *Aran/Worsted Yarn. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran in the colour Coffee Bean (210). See chart in the photos for approximately how much yarn you will need. Gauge: 14 stitches/12 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) in alternating dc & sc, use stitch pattern in pattern notes to gauge swatch Stitches and abbreviations used: st or sts- stitch or stitches ch- chain stitch dc- double crochet hdc- half double crochet hdc2tog- half double crochet two stitches together sl st- slip stitch sc- single crochet RS- right side WS- wrong side BLO- back loop only
