Rumple Socks

The designing of the Rumple Socks has a fairy tale beginning. My daughter recently discovered, and then fell in love with the TV show 'Once Upon A Time'. Her favourite character quickly emerged to be the fabulous Rumplestiltskin/Mr Gold. After many weekends of watching the series progress, my thoughts turned to designing a pair of socks inspired by the love of all things Rumple. I absolutely loved creating these socks and as they are perfectly unisex, you can go ahead and knit Rumple Socks for all of your family! **Sock Details** The socks feature a super fun and squishy texture pattern, that brings to mind the slightly crazy Rumple hair! The stitch pattern is relaxing to knit and very intuitive, making it easy to read your knitting. I have included 2 different heel options - a traditional heel flap and gusset and also my Butterfly Heel. The Butterfly Heel is a mock short row heel that is worked as you knit the sock. The pattern contains a video tutorial showing you the technique for this. **Sizes** The pattern comes in 3 sizes - Small (56 sts), Medium (64sts) and Large (72sts). The texture pattern is both written and charted. Instructions are written for the magic loop method but other methods can of course be used. **Yarn** The pattern sample pair of socks were knitted in a yarn that I dyed myself. This is a lovely speckled yarn that really shows off the stitch pattern. I have also knitted a pair using a more variegated yarn and that also worked really well. I think self striping would be fun too!
