Grinning Cat Hat

This crocheted hat is part of my collection of patterns inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Grinning Cat Hat is the “purr-fect” project to use two or three contrasting colors of light worsted weight yarn to create a simple and lightly textured hat that will hug your head like a cozy cat. Just be careful that it doesn’t disappear! **SIZE** * Size 1: 21”/53 cm circumference by 8”/20 cm tall * Size 2: 22”/55 cm circumference by 8”/20 cm tall * Size 3: 23”/57 cm circumference by 8”/20 cm tall **GAUGE** 15 hdc and 12 rows = 4”/10 cm **HOOK** Size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook Or size needed to obtain gauge **YARN** * For Brim (optional): Dyelicious Yarns “Desert Showers” worsted weight mini skein (100% merino wool; 43 yards/20 grams per skein): 1 mini skein * For Colors A and B: Dyelicious Yarns “Show Low” worsted weight (100% merino wool; 200 yards/183 meters per skein): 1 skein of each color * Or similar size 4 worsted weight yarn in 2-3 colors of choice, approximately 400 yards/366 meters total per hat size
