DK Standard Socks Toe Up

I would recommend using a sock appropriate (IE. contains some nylon) yarn so you get maximum wear out of your socks. You could also definitely hold fingering weight sock yarn DOUBLE! This creates opportunity to use all that gorgeous yarn you have socked away because these are FAST! These are constructed from the toe up. We use Judy’s Magic CO and then increase the toe sts. The foot is worked and then gusset increases, followed by the short row heel turn. The flap is then created working back and forth, while we decrease back to the original stitch count. We finish with the leg, cuff and a stretchy bind off. I’ve included links to helpful resources of these techniques in the pattern. I've also included full instructions to knit these with the contrast toe/heel/stripes, or without in one solid colour. The pattern is offered in five sizes: child/adult xs to adult XL. The detailed size outline is below. These are easy to modify for foot and leg lengths. Please note: yardages are approximate and modifications to sizes, personal gauge and yarn can effect yardage requirements. This design is adventurous beginner friendly and has been tech edited. Sock set comes with 1 x 100g/245yds skein in MC: Camo Carlie (green), and 2 x 20g/49yds Minisnaps in CC1: Hot Pink, CC2: Neon Orange Approx. Yardage: 190 (210, 245, 290, 360) yds DK weight sock yarn. This is an estimate. Sock lengths and personal gauge impact the amount of yardage needed. Suggested Needles: 3.25mm/US 3 80cm/32” length for magic loop OR size needed to obtain gauge. Darning needle. Gauge: 26 sts and 36 rounds/10cm or 4”, in the round, in stockinette stitch.
