Lavender Fields Jacket

The Lavender Fields Jacket is an endlessly customizable stash busting project with an oversized cozy fit and a fun take on the granny square, with a hood too! The yardage will vary based off of variations you decide to make, but the **Main Joining Color** is estimated at around 950(1100,1350,1500,1700) yards of worsted (4) or aran weight yarn. The contrasting colors are intended to use up all that leftover yarn that's haunting you. I used 788 grams of scrap worsted weight yarn in total. -This jacket is meant to be oversized, with 4-8+ inches of positive ease, perfect for layering on a cold autumn or winter day. -Pattern is sized as follows: XS/S(M/L,XL,2X/3X,4X/5X). Highlight your selected size for an easier time following instructions! -Squares are made in one giant batch, then joined as panels using the CJAYG method. You'll watch a video tutorial linked if this is your first time using this method! -This is designed to be a stash-busting project, use any worsted weight yarn you have laying around and whip up some squares! -Yardage is an estimate for Main Color only, as it is subject to change depending on any variations you make. I based my estimations off of tester feedback and my own version using 10 squares for length. Keep in mind you may need more or less for any variations. Contrast colors are intended to use scrap yarn, you can decide on the scheme and amount! -Easily customizable, there are instructions on how to adjust the width and length of any section of the pattern. Make it fit your style! -Buttons are optional, and can easily be added on as an afterthought one day. Who knows, you might want to button yourself in later on. -Use as many or as few colors as you'd like. You can even do an explosion of color if that's more your thing. -Sample shown is a size XS/S worn on a 34" bust. I'm also 5'4-ish. -Fit checkpoints are suggested at various points throughout the pattern, so you can check in as you go to see if you'd like to adjust anything in particular. A few of my testers chose to follow instructions for a different sleeve size instead of their own, which I've noted in that section of the pattern as a reminder!
