I’m a big spicy food fan and a red chili lover. I couldn’t resist creating these socks as a dedication to all things hot. Whether you can handle spicy food or not, these are a very fun and eye-catching pair of socks available to knit in three different sizes. Who doesn’t love some fun, bright chiles for their feet? You or your loved ones can enjoy wearing them no matter how delicate your tastebuds are. **Construction Notes** Knit from the top down with a ribbed cuff, this sock includes a chili colorwork pattern throughout the foot, with a little extra simple colorwork decoration by the red-hot toe. These socks are knit with a short row heel. **Sizing** 1 (2, 3) To fit (foot circumference): 8½ (9½, 10½) inches / 20.5–22.5 (23–25.5, 26–27.5) cm Leg/foot length can be easily adjusted. See instructions for details. **Yarn** Fingering weight, GigglingGecko Yarns, Socklandia Soxs (80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon), 398 yds (365 m) per 100-g skein. Shown in **MC:** Midnight (1 skein) **CC1:** Jalapeño (1 skein) **CC2:** Pomegranate (1 skein) Any fingering weight sock yarn can be used for this sock pattern as long as you can obtain the same gauge. **Needles** For ribbing, heel and toe: US 1 (2.25 mm), 32-inch (80-cm) circular for magic loop, or DPNs, or two circulars or a 9-inch (23-cm) needle (as preferred). For colorwork: US 1.5 (2.5 mm), 32-inch (80-cm) circular for magic loop, or DPNs, or two circulars or a 9-inch (23-cm) circular needle (as preferred). **Gauge** 34 sts x 46 rnds = 4 inches (10 cm) for colorwork. 36 sts x 48 rnds = 4 inches (10cm) for ribbing and stockinette.
