The Winona dress is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The back and front are knitted separately down to the armholes. Then the pieces are joined and the body is knitted in the round. For a summer version of the Winona dress, choose a cotton or linen blend, and for a winter version I recommend a lightly spun or blown wool yarn, which won't make the dress too heavy and start to weigh it down.
