The Devon Crop is the perfect pattern for beginners who want to learn to crochet in the round, or crocheters of any ability who are looking to make a top that is perfect for summer! This top has an open back, and halter neck style straps so it can be adjusted to make the top as tight or as loose as desired. (This pattern does not have a gauge as it is made to measure, so you can use any DK weight yarn with whatever hook your yarn recommends. Due to this, yardage needed for the top differs. I have a 26 inch waist, and made my top to fit this measurement, and I used approximately 338 metres [368 yards] of West Yorkshire Spinners The Croft yarn in DK weight. When I made this garment to fit the same measurements using marriners DK 100% acrylic yarn, I used approximately 279 metres [305 yards]. Adjust this yardage accordingly for your waist measurement and yarn type.)
