This is a great pattern because its quick to knit up, makes a great gift and can be customised across all yarn weights. A perfect project for beginners. I have chosen a very simple lace pattern that gives you that “looks much harder than it actually is” effect. You could also customise this and make it narrower and longer to create a wrap, instead of a blanket. The stitch count below is to complete a blanket measuring approx. 120cm wide – to adjust width, increase or decrease by a multiple of 12 stitches to maintain pattern. The gauge is a guide for how many stitches per 10cm. Yarn is approximate estimate to allow you to customise as desired - the more yarn, the wider and longer you can make your blanket.
