This is a pattern for an amigurumi troll. To make this, you will need yarn in a skin tone and whatever color(s) you want your troll's hair to be. You'll also need a wire pet brush for brushing out the hair and making it stand up. Gauge is not important. Any yarn type can be used, but make sure it is one that will get fluffy when brushed out. I used worsted weight.
