Wear it as a light slipover over a T-shirt or shirt, or as a soft, warm base layer. The top is designed to fit close to the body with approximately 5 cm / 2 inches of negative ease, meaning it is 5 cm / 2 inches smaller than your actual bust measurement, creating an elegant and feminine fit. The top is worked from the bottom up and features a charming lace pattern that creates a beautifully wavy hemline. The armholes and V-neck are finished with a neat i-cord edge, and the straps are discreetly joined at the shoulders. Stitches are cast on using a crochet cast-on, and a few rows are first worked back and forth in garter stitch. The work is then joined to work in the round in a lace pattern. It continues in stockinette stitch up to the armholes, where the work is divided into front and back. The armholes are finished with an i-cord edge on each side. Stitches are bound off for the V-neck, and front and back is completed separately, ending in a strap. Finally, the straps are joined together at each shoulder.
