It's worked top down so you can try it on as you go, and there's only a small amount of finishing at the underarm. The stockinette upper section keeps things simple while the lace body becomes pleasantly repetitive and relaxing. The neckline is shaped flat first to form the V neck. After the front and back reach the underarm, the work is joined in the round and the lace body continues to the hem. The hem is finished with a picot bind off. Straps are created using i-cord. Only a small amount of underarm finishing is required. --- ### **Yarn Notes** Our sample was knit in Olann Smoked Sock, a fingering weight blend that really makes this design shine. The alpaca and silk give the fabric fluid drape while the stitch definition keeps the lace crisp and visible. Fiber: 70% baby alpaca / 20% silk / 10% cashmere Yardage: 437 yards (400 m) per 100 g skein Plumeria works best in yarns with drape. Alpaca, silk blends, bamboo, linen blends, yak, or soft merino singles all work beautifully.
