Riihi Socks

"Riihi" is a Finnish word and means drying barn. It's a place where people used to dried grain. Riihi Socks got it's inspiration from beautiful old Finnish colorworks and Finnish history. SIZE: 1 (2)  Foot circumference: 20 (21.5) cm / 8 (8.5)“ The difference in fit is achieved by changing the gauge.  The length of the sock is easily adjustable. YARN: For size 1:  MC: 200 m / 219 yds of fingering weight yarn  CC1: 60 m / 70 yds of fingering weight yarn CC2: 40 m / 44 yds of fingering weight yarn Shown with: MC: Regia Tweed 4-ply (70% Wool, 25% Polyamide, 5% Viscose, 200 m / 219 yds per 50 gram), colour: 00002, 200 m / 219 yds. Filcolana Arwetta Classic (80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon, 210 meters / 230 yards per 50 gram). CC1: 352 red squirrel, 60 m  / 70 yds, CC2: 973 nougat (melange), 40 m / 44 yds. For size 2: MC: 200 m / 219 yds of heavy fingering or sport weight yarn CC1: 60 m / 70 yds of heavy fingering or sport weight yarn CC2: 40 m / 44 yds of heavy fingering or sport weight yarn Needles:  3 mm / US 2.5 DPNs or circular needles with a cable suitable for small circumference knitting or Magic loop. Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge. Other notions:  Sewing needle, stitch marker, blocking tools. Note: The pattern is written for Magic Loop knitting so there are only needles 1 and 2. Socks are knitted top-down. GAUGE: For size 1:  30 sts and 38 rnds = 10 cm / 4 inches of Stockinette Stitch in the round after blocking.
