Sesame Street Ernie stuffed toy

**This pattern has been retired.** This is my original design that I created based on Ernie from Sesame Street. Bert is his other half, and together they are Sesame Street's original power couple! :) (Bert is sold separately--check out my Ravelry store for his pattern.) This pattern is purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and is in no way associated with the TV series. It helps to have some experience making amigurumi toys to complete him successfully. If you can crochet in continuous rounds using a magic ring and know basic stitches, you shouldn’t have any trouble. He is crocheted in rounds in several pieces, then sewn together. His sweater uses a no-cut join technique to give near-perfect stripes without having to cut your yarn between rounds. This pattern doesn’t take much of each color yarn—half a skein (or less) of each should get you by. You may already have what you need in your stash. You will also need black embroidery floss, 6mm safety eyes, and white felt.
