Sesame Street Bert stuffed toy

**This pattern has been retired.** This is my original design that I created based on Bert from Sesame Street. Ernie is his other half, and together they are Sesame Street's original power couple! :) (Ernie is sold separately--check out my Ravelry store for his pattern.) This pattern is purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and is in no way associated with the TV series. It helps to have some experience making amigurumi toys to complete him successfully. If you can crochet in continuous rounds using a magic ring and know basic stitches, you shouldn’t have any trouble. He is crocheted in rows and rounds in several pieces, then sewn together. This pattern doesn’t take much of each color yarn—half a skein (or less) of each should get you by. You may already have what you need in your stash. You'll also need black embroidery floss, 8mm safety eyes, and some white felt.
