Moomin Troll Family

Take a trip to Moominvalley and create your own family of trolls, inspired by the much loved Tove Jansson characters. This pattern details step-by-step how to make a troll and all the accessories for Moomin Troll, Moomin Pappa, Moomin Mamma and Snorkmaiden. The pattern has been designed using Drops Paris cotton yarn, but you can use whatever yarn you have to hand by changing the hook gauge accordingly. Measurements: A finished Moomin measures approx. 19cm tall. Or 22cm, if you include Moomin Pappa’s hat. Materials Required: • Aran Weight Yarn (White, Black, Red and Yellow) • 3.5mm crochet hook • 9 mm safety eyes (x8) • Stuffing material • Stitch markers and pins • Yarn needle Stitch Knowledge Required: Sc = Single crochet • Slip st = Slip stitch • Invdec = Invisible decrease • BLO = Back loops only • FLO = Front loops only • Ch = Chain • ** = a repeating stitch pattern
