Cat with Kittens

With this design, the adult cat’s body has an internal pocket which opens to reveal 2 kittens inside! This pattern includes the instructions for both the cat and her kittens and it contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. **You will need:** Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Stylecraft Special Aran weight yarn and my finished cat measures approximately 35cm long (including the tail). **You will need the following colours:** Main Body Colour - I used gold (approx. 292m), Stripe Colour - I used copper (approx. 13.5m), Cheeks Colour - I used cream (approx. 9m), Nose, Mouth & Feet Pads Colour - I used pink (approx. 8m), Collar Colour - I used green (approx. 3m), Please Note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. **You will also need:** A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook. Toy stuffing. Black finer yarn or embroidery thread for adding the eyes to the kittens. A pair of 15mm cat eyes (I used green eyes). Some clear nylon thread for the whiskers (this step is optional).
