Malfors Socks

As we often find our place of serenity in our homes, I thought Malfors Socks would be a great name for these socks. The socks are knit from the toe up to the cuff with a gusset-heel flap heel. For that kind of heel, it is important to start with the gusset in time, therefore I have included tips and tricks on sizing. I recommend you to read about choosing size and the importance of having the correct gauge in the pattern.* **Sizes** XS (S) M (L) XL The sock’s circumference around the ball of the foot is 13.5 (15.5) 18 (20) 22.5, to fit foot circumferences of 14.5-19.5 (16.5-20.5) 19-23 (21-25) 23.5-27.5 cm The length of the sock is adjustable. **Gauge** 36 sts and 45 rnds = 10x10 cm in stocking stitch after blocking **Needles & Notions** 4 stitch markers

 Needles for working on a small circumference in size to obtain gauge, e.g. circular needles of at least 80 cm, DPNs, 23 cm circulars, or CrazyTrios/FlexiFlops When knitting the sample, gauge was obtained on 2.25 mm needles. *Note that I am a tight knitter so you may need to go down one or two needle sizes to obtain gauge.* **Yarn used** Fingering weight sock yarn 75% wool/25% nylon approx 400 m per 100 g Metreage:

 CC 100 (115) 135 (150) 170 metres I think the socks look extra beautiful if you choose a self-striping or variegated yarn for MC and a solid/semi-solid yarn for CC. **Sizes** X-Small (Small) Medium (Large) X-Large The sock is designed to have negative ease around the foot of 1-5 cm / 0.5-2”. That means that the socks are designed to fit feet with a circumference around the ball of the foot of: 14.5-19.5 (16.5-20.5) 19-23 (21-25) 23.5-27.5 cm. The length of the sock is adjustable.
