Padded Mittens

Padded mittens are extra warm, owing to the slip stitch pattern used. By changing the weight of the yarn and the needles used, three sizes of mittens can be knitted from the same instructions. The small size takes 25 of thin, 4 ply yarn, the medium size 50g of DK weight and the large 75g of aran yarn. Measurements for all three sizes are given in the pattern. The mittens are knitted in the round, either using one long circular needle and the magic loop method or a set of double pointed needles. You will need two sizes of needle for each size of mittens: 2. 5 and 3 mm for small mittens, 3.5 and 4.5 mm for medium and 4 and 5 mm for the biggest size.
