Reindeer Christmas Stocking

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a stocking or two hanging by the fire! This cute reindeer stocking pattern uses the Overlay Mosaic Crochet technique with a few extra stitch tweaks. The majority of the project is worked in rounds, so no sewing in loads of ends! All the stitches are explained with step-by-step pictures and descriptions, so it would be great for a confident crocheter, or simply someone who wants to learn a new crochet technique. The pattern includes written instructions, charts, step-by-step stitch guides, hints and tips plus ideas for additional embellishments and ways of working. The finished stockings were made in Stylecraft Special DK yarn (medium) and a 3.5mm (E) crochet hook. The stockings measure approximately 20” x 8.5” / 50.8cm x 21.5cm at their maximum. Different yarns and hooks are discussed in the pattern. The gauge given is the usual tension for Stylecraft Special DK using a 4mm hook. However, with this tension and using a 3.5mm hook, approximately 100g-120g of the two colours were required for each stocking.
