Love My Buffalo Plaid Slouch

This is a PDF crochet pattern to make a buffalo plaid slouch in 4 sizes, from baby to large adult. Worked from the bottom up with a slip stitch ribbing for a faux knit appearance. Looks great with a faux fur pom and leather patch (optional). I have to admit that I resisted designing anything in plaid for a long time...partly because there are so many existing plaid designs but also because I really hate color changes! However, I had made one during quarantine just for fun and my pattern testers just loved it. I think with the double brim, extra thick top and the added appeal of the leather patch and faux fur pom, this all adds up to a really spectacular hat! I may not want to make this hat over and over like some of my other designs but I absolutely LOVE the finished result! I hope you will too.
