Gauge is not important for this pattern. Just make sure that you use a hook small enough that your stuffing does not show through the finished stitches. This is a great project for scrap yarn, as it only takes about half an ounce of the tan (for the head and legs) and half an ounce of the PJ color. You can use even smaller scraps if you do striped PJs, like the red and green "Christmas Jammies" version I made.
