Pattern from the 1970s is for men or women. Vest is meant to be worn tight with negative ease. Directions are for size Small; changes for sizes Medium and Large are made by using larger crochet hooks. GAUGE: 13 dc = 4” (10 cm); 8 rows = 4” (10 cm) using 4mm [US G-6] hook for Small, 12 dc = 4” (10 cm); 7 rows = 4” (10 cm) using 5mm [US H-8] hook for Medium 11 dc = 4” (10 cm); 7 rows = 4” (10 cm) using 5.5mm [US I-9] hook for Large.
