Coofle

**Coofle** [A kit to knit this pattern is available from the KDD shop][1] *Coofle is an old Scots word for a puzzle or challenge. Inspired by the traditional patterns of narrow woven bands, when designing this pullover, I challenged myself to work with a set of motifs with regularly decreasing stitch counts. I love the result when worked in this simple palette, which is somehow simultaneously fresh and soft. A draft to weave the accompanying belt is included in the pattern.* **Yarn** Kate Davies Designs Milarrochy Tweed (70% Wool; 30% Mohair; 100m / 109yds per 25g ball) A Hirst: 8 (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) x 25g balls B Tarbet: 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) x 25g balls All sizes 1 ball of each of the following shades: C Smirr D Garth E Stockiemuir F Cowslip G Cranachan **Needles and notions** Gauge-size and below gauge-size circular needles of appropriate lengths for working body, yoke, and neckline Gauge-size and below gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences Stitch markers of two types, x and y Waste yarn for holding stitches Tapestry needle **Gauge** 28 sts and 36 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colourwork pattern and stockinette in the round using gauge-size needle. If your gauge tends to tighten when working small circumferences or colourwork, you may need to go up a needle size for sleeves and yoke. Use 3.25mm needle as a starting point for swatching. **Sizes** Finished bust: 85 (90, 96.5, 101.5, 109, 117, 127, 138.5, 147.5) cm / 33½ (35½, 38, 40, 43, 46, 50, 54½, 58) in Shown in the second size with 10cm / 4in positive ease **Special techniques** Optional: German short rows (instructions and tutorial links included) **Pattern notes** This circular yoke pullover is knitted from the bottom up, all in one piece.
