Jungle Buddies

**Construction** Jungle Buddies are *knit in the round*. They are worked in one piece from the bottom-up. Simple sewing techniques are used to define the arms and legs after knitting. Monkey and Elephant ears are knit flat from stitches picked up from the finished doll. The Zebra and Elephant use the "Afterthought Thumb" technique to add dimensional shaping to the face. **Gauge** Exact gauge is not important; Choose a needle 2 or 3 sizes smaller than recommended on the ball band to create a dense fabric that will keep the stuffing hidden.
